We had a meeting at the National Book Council office in Putrajaya yesterday. We were shown a model of our display stands and images of the Malaysian pavillion. They look great! Kudos to the National Translation Institute who are the operational managers for the Malaysian contingent. I feel proud to be part of the team and all the more when I know the Agency will be bringing great titles for the Frankfurt Bookfair in Oct. There are lots of things to do in preparation for the bookfair! One of them is the video of Yusof Gajah that we will be showing at the fair. Shooting has completed and we will be seeing a preview this Friday. Then to finalise and we will certainly upload it to this site for your viewing!. LT

We believe we are the first Literary Agency in Malaysia! Our aim is to promote local writers and illustrators internationally. I come from a background of publishing while Yusof has published a number of children's books and is internationally recognised. We feel there are good opportunities for local writers and illustrators internationally and we want to bridge the gap.

I am excited because we will be bringing new voices and new art styles to the international market. After a few rounds of international book fairs, I understand we all look for that gem, that book that sparks something in us, that makes us say, ah!

Well, you will be seeing first hand on these pages new titles (more new titles to be updated in the next few weeks) from relatively unknown writers and illustrators. A few have even won national and international awards but have kept a low profile. We aim to correct that. LT
