Cinthia Koeksal was born in the town of Kuantan, Pahang in 1980, but spent the rest of her childhood years moving from Kuantan to Kuala Lumpur, Kuching, Kota Kinabalu and even Keningau in Kelantan. She somehow managed to survive her whirlwind adolescence and went on to obtain a Bachelor's Degree in Business Commerce, with majors in Marketing and Management from Monash University. She has now written her first novel, The Scarlet Omen, and is currently working on her second. Cinthia lives in Ulm, Germany with her husband and six year old son.
