Born in Taiping, Perak in Malaysia, Julya currently lives and work in Kuala Lumpur. She has written and published a number of short stories, a collection which will be published soon. Julya has also written scripts and is active in the art scene in Kuala Lumpur. A prolific writer, she is currently working on a fantasy script as well as a Chinese feature film.
