The irrepressible Nur Azmi is also popularly known as Mie Mambo. As Mie Mambo, he has produced a number of graphic novels. He is also a painter, better known for his brightly coloured naive-style 'kampung' or village scenes, usually with a flowing river, where he spent much of his time as a child. Mie Mambo has also ventured into music and is currently working hard with his band to produce an album. Coming soon in 2010, Mie Mambo's Tapir graphic novel series will be out in the market and features life in Kuala Lumpur City. Mie Mambo lives in Kuala Lumpur with his wife Sri and daughter, Kasih.
